Notice the pattern
Record the location, duration, swelling, morning stiffness, activity triggers and any injuries. This can help a clinician decide what evaluation is appropriate.
Build around supported care
For osteoarthritis, appropriately tailored exercise, physical therapy and some medicines can help. Commercial recovery gadgets do not rebuild cartilage.
Consider other explanations
Hormonal changes can coincide with musculoskeletal symptoms, but don't assume hormone therapy treats every joint problem. New hot, swollen joints or systemic illness need prompt assessment.
